Gift One

{Gift 1-January 1st, 2012}

New Years Resolution 2012

I began asking the Lord a few months ago for His theme for my life in the year, 2012. And this is what I believe He told me. To view E-V-E-R-Y single day and moment as a GIFT from Him. Each day will be a new adventure with Jesus, a GIFT straight from His hand, a reason to SMILE, to live life fully, and most importantly to fall more in love with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To learn more of His ways, His heart and allowing Him to make His desires, my desires. To love each person He puts in my life with HIS love and to see His beauty all around me, through His Word and my life experiences.

This all lead to my 2012 project goal!!  My resolution is to post each day--to capture the moments and memories of gifts that Jesus so lovingly gives me all the time. How will I capture them? By posting 365 times this year! A picture-a memory, and a verse or quote that God used that day in my lifce to strengthen me, caution me, encourage me, or just to make me smile. My goal is to take a new picture each day to help increase my photography knowledge, but also to help capture each day's GIFT from Jesus. I may not be able to post each day due to the craziness of life, but if I have to spend a Saturday catching up on posts and pictures, that's what I'll do. This is a project from Jesus and I want to see it thru. :)

365 Days!

365 GIFTS!

365 Reasons to SMILE!

365 Precious Rhemas from God's Word--His promises, commandments, cautions, love notes. I cherish His Word and how He speaks to us thru it!

365 days full of breath and LIFE!

365 reason to rejoice!

365 days of prayer and seeing Him move thru prayer!

Thank you, Jesus, for ANOTHER year!  I dedicate this year and each day that you already hold in your hands to You.  May Your Word grow more deeply in MY heart, as I learn to record all your promises each day to me.

[Picture 1]

From a photography standpoint, I know many improvements can be made to this picture, but I chose this for picture as my number 1 picture because this little pink book, my ESV Bible, is literally my life!!  I live for the God who wrote this Book, I have found joy, comfort, conviction, hope, purpose, meaning, rest, life, commandments to live by, answers to the deepest questions and passion for life in this book, which is my Bible. If my house caught on fire and I could save one item from my bedroom, this is the first thing I would chose. The preciousness and truth found in the words of this book mean more to me than anything else in the world!

1 Peter 1:24-25-"ALL flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the WORD of the LORD remains FOREVER."

Psalms 19:7-11-"The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold. sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward."

[Rhema 1]

"And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.  Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from ALL His work which God had created and made"~Genesis 2:2-3

That verse stood out to me during my devotions today for several reasons. 1.) If GOD, who is God and never NEEDS to rest, but still rested on the seventh day, how much more do we need rest?  Whether it's rest from work, play, entertainment, physical rest, or rest for our mind...God designed rest, and it is good. I'm learning more and more how important rest is. :) 2.) God honors and blesses those who honor his Sabbath. "If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the Lord honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, THEN you shall delight yourself in the Lord; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken."~Isaiah 58:13-14
