Got FEAR? God's got the ANTIDOTE! :)

Dearest Friends,

Fear has been a huge struggle for me recently...in several areas.  It was very, very real last night and making me worry and fret something awful, which is SO not necessary for a daughter of the King of Kings who holds ALL things in His hands. Fear has never really been a big issue for me...until more recently.  It's scary knowing you have a disease that some people die from...it's scary not having all the answers...it's scary not knowing what the future holds in areas regarding the heart...it's scary reading the news and watching it on television...it's scary having the Doctor's tell you they don't know how long it will be til you are better and can live normal again...it's scary knowing there's countries that would like to take America off the map...it's scary and oh, so terribly sad seeing how far America has fallen from her heritage and roots...it's scary knowing that my little brother is having to use his pace maker more and more frequently...it's scary knowing about other health issues relatives are dealing with...it's scary seeing what is going on in Boston right now...and oh how I could go on...but I'll stop here! I was getting WAY too focused on all my fears last night and God stopped me and was like, "Monica, what do *I* say about fear? Is fear from Me?  Is fear necessary when you have ME, the God of the Universe on your side?"  He graciously led me to several verses in HIS Word that brought my peace and joy back and I wanted to share them on here for all of you. :) These precious verses hold the answer for ANY fear ANY one of us might be worrying about.

THE ANTIDOTE FOR FEAR:

"For ye have NOT received the spirit of bondage again to fear." ~Romans 8:13

"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  The LORD is the STRENGTH of my life; of **whom shall I be afraid**." ~ Psalms 27:1

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear NO evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and staff they comfort me." ~Psalms 23:4

"And the Lord, HE it is that doth go before thee, neither forsake thee: Fear not, neither be dismayed." ~Deuteronomy 31:8

"I SOUGHT the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from ALL my fears." ~Psalms 34:4

"Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day." ~Psalms 91:5

"The Name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe."~ Proverbs 18:10

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness."~Isaiah 41:10

"...lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." ~Matthew 28:20

"But even the very hairs of your head are ALL numbered, Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows."~ Luke 12:7

"But the LORD is faithful, who shall stablish you,and keep you from evil." ~2 Thessalonians 3:3

"For God hath NOT given us a spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."~2 Timothy 1:7

"There is no fear in love; but **perfect love** casteth out fear..." ~1 John 4:18

"In GOD have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me." ~Psalms 56:11

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the LOVE of GOD which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."~ Romans 8:38-39

Yes, dear friends...these verses truly are the antidote for fear.  Start reading thru them...praying them back to God...and you will be surprised at how quickly the fears start dissipating. Our Jesus is oh, so faithful and "He's got the whole world in His hands." :)

Love Always,
Monica
