And sometimes when it's the hardest to keep praying....that's right before the breakthrough.  Sometimes the night is darkest right before the dawn and sometimes the spiritual fight that's going on when we pray is just about to be won...

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,” Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to Heaven, “By Thy grace we will.”

"And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and NOT LOSE HEART." ~Luke 18:1

"The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."
~James 5:16

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."  ~Ephesians 6:12

"We hear it said that a person’s life will suffer if he doesn’t pray, but I question that. What will suffer is the life of the Son of God in him, which is nourished not by food, but by prayer. . . . We look upon prayer simply as a means of getting things for ourselves, but the biblical purpose of prayer is that we may get to know God Himself."

~Oswald Chambers

"No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." 2 Timothy 2:4
Remember who you are dear brothers and sisters in Christ. This world is only our temporary home...we're soldiers for Jesus...and while we're here our spiritual strength depends so strongly on our own personal prayer life. "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." ~ Philippians 3:20

I love the analogy this hymn gives to entering the "prayer battlefield."....

Onward Christian Soldiers

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before. Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; forward into battle see his banners go!

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before

At the sign of triumph Satan's host doth flee; on then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise; brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.

Like a mighty army moves the church of God; brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod. We are not divided, all one body we, one in hope and doctrine, one in charity.

Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane, but the church of Jesus constant will remain. Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail; we have Christ's own promise, and that cannot fail.

Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng, blend with ours your voices in the triumph song. Glory, laud, and honor unto Christ the King, this through countless ages men and angels sing.

Down on my Knees...I learned to stand.
Stay on your knees, friends. <3  It's there that the true battle & victory are fought and won. <3
Keep me on my knees, Jesus.
